Another One Bites The Dust

FISHING pole toys are my very FAVORITEST of them all.  Once I clamp onto the BAIT, I will NEVER let go.  And I have very STRONG teethies.
Sometimes, I might play too ROUGH with my fishing pole.
SEE? I broke ANOTHER fishing pole TOY. Rats.

Time to send Mommeh back to the online store again, Harley!

  6. We broke ours too, but our mom tied one of our other toys to the end of a shoelace that works the same way. The other one, we just go after the knot on the end of the string.

  11. Oh Harley, don't blame yourself. You aren't too rough on it; it's too weak for your manly cat self. You just need a stronger rod!

  12. We love them too, but we're not quite as strong as you are, Harley. Please be careful with those broken poles.

  13. We don't break our fishing poles, Two Two just chews them and takes them apart. She is always busy. Have a great day.

  16. The Neko Fly is my absolute favorite and I wear those out too. It's a lot like the fishing toy I think. Don't feel bad about your ooman having to replace it Harley - it's their job to keep us in toys and food.

  22. Oops! That do be too bad that you toy do breaked.

We do had lots of fishing poles here but I do not be allowed to play with they! Or Aswell too.

  23. Maybe a REAL fishing pole might do the trick. They are built for strength and them big "fishies". Plus, Mommeh can sit on the couch and relax while she's casting!

  29. Hi Harley! Mistletoe here , my huMom and I like your and Daisy's blog. We have been reading it for a while now. My boycat brother's love the fishy pole toys too, but they break the poles and one eats the string. My huMom ordered something called a Cat-a-pole for them and it hasn't broken in over three months. It's all plastic, except for the toy. Those boycats have gotten the toys off the "string", but it's easy to replace when then rest isn't in lots of pieces.

    Love your blogging,
    Mistletoe and her HuMom

  30. I recently saw a fishing pole type toy that all the parts were replacable.. so if they chew the toy at the end, just pop on a new toy. They chew the string, pop off the old string (not string, it was plastic) and pop on a new one.. I thought it was a great idea!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Don't feel too bad about breaking another toy, Harley. My cat Renn likes the string toys that hang from a doorway, but he always chews through the strong or elastic. Then they become just fuzzy toys to play with on the floor.

  32. Ichiro does that too! HA HA HA! Maybe it's a boy thing?

I think mom needs to buy an industrial strength fishing pole. My mom did that with soccer (golf) balls. The kitty toy ones were getting destroyed so mommy went to the golf dept and bought some whiffle golf balls for a fraction of the price and they lasted so much longer.

  42. Harley, you may be able to keep your toys around a little longer if you can learn to bite more gently. We know that's hard, though.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Kozmo does that too, but there is ONE that even he can't break - we has a real icefishing rod that daddy ties the pole toys to.

  44. Fun!!!!!
Well, not when they break! Maybe you should be a tester for fishing pole toys to test their strength for the manufacturers!

    ReplyDelete
  45. We use real fishing poles, they bend a long ways but have never broke (yet)! No reel, just a good neon cord (easy to see if kitty tangles) and and toys on the end. Have fun, we're sure you'll have a new fishing pole soon.

  46. Hmmm... looks like you aren't using the right line to catch a Harley. Might need 40lb weight line. But the bait is certainly just right - you always seem to get a Harley on the line. :)

  47. Woah, you are so strong!!! O_o We are staying away from your teefers!
