Breaking and... Breaking!

I have learned an important skill: how to open any bi-fold door! This comes in very handy when you wish to investigate stuff.  Want to learn how, kitties? First, stick your paw under the door, right where it cracks open.
Make sure nobuddy is spying on you, or you might get in trouble!
Once the door is pried open wide enough, you are free to enter.
Take your time looking around.  You might find something good inside!
Just a bunch of beans in here.  I might need to check out the higher shelves...
It looks like some good stuff is up here! Harley, come help me.
OH NOES! I knocked the beans over.  Now I'm sure to get in trouble.
ps: I am supposed to say "the pantry isn't always this much of a mess" but that would be a lie.

  2. Miss D - those cans at the bottom look like they would be tasty for pussycats.

P.S - my mum wishes she could have such a lovely pantry. She has to make do with a couple of cupboards.

  4. Daisy dearest, if you and Gracie lived next door to each other you two would be best girlcatfriends. She is the Queen of opening stuff, too. Often. Daily. srsly.

  6. Hey Daisy- I can do that with doors too! I've yet to master the whole climbing thing, though. Maybe I'm just too lazy? Great work!!

  7. Great step-by-step tutorial, Daisy! Knocking over the beans was your only mistake we could see. Whenever we knock something over like that it usually makes a big noise and we run away from the scene as fast as we can.

  15. You guys did great! And don't apologize - actually, the pantry looked fairly well organized 'til you got up there & knocked over the bean cans! MOL

Don't eat too many of them ... you might not like the consequences ... your hoomans definitely won't! *holds nose & giggles*

  16. The cat who came before us would use the "push the door" technique so it would bounce back and open some. But that's not the best way to not get noticed because it can be loud (but maybe that was the point).

  17. MOL Daisy!
I do the same with the closet where my human keeps her shoes.
I too get into trouble because I never close the door once I'm done so my human knows I went there but I want her to know I don't care ;-)
    Purrs to you and Harley

  23. Oh Daisy over to your right, one shelf down--FISHY FLAKES! Can you get it for me. We can get into our pantry like that but no one has gone up the shelves. I think because there is so much sitting so close to the front of the shelves.

  35. Dear Daisy,

Good job! You know the bean cans were deliberately arranged by the humans as an alarm. It would almost be impossible not to knock them over.

But how did your Mommeh get the pictures of you when you are so sneaky?

  46. Maxwell: *taking notes* That looks a lot easier than the way I open cabinet doors... *BANG!*BANG!*BANG!* ...and then they bounce open...!

Wish our pantry had bifolds, all that banging gets me caught...fast

  47. Dear Daisy - I think you left a very important disclaimer out of your tutorial. Cougar must have seen your instruction, because the other day she tried your little trick on the kitchen cabinet door. Unfortunately, in your post you never mentioned what to do if you succeeded and while searching for a snack the door closes on you. Luckily, sister Storm (who did a very poor job of guard duty) sat outside the cabinet door altering Cougar’s presence to the authorities (who had been franticly searching the house for her location). ;)
