Hi Daisy! Sorry that the fireworks for my 5th anniversary Gotcha Day celebration were too scary. It was so foggy and rainy here in NYC, all we could see was colored haze. But we could still hear them! I just turned the TV up loud so Mica wouldn't be scared.
Oh Daisy, you and Snail look so cute under that bed! We got to stay in the basement for a little while during the fireworks. We don't like them at all!
A(nother) cute comic. We love the Sunday comics with Daisy, they just make our Sunday. Hee hee, poor Mr. Snail can't help it if he's slow. We were all hiding from the fireworks, too. Purrs, Missy Blue Eyes
Darling Daisy, your comics are pawesome! Snails have two speeds: dead slow or motionless! Hope you and Pixie Bananers and the Mommie and Dadee had a great 4th July weekend in spite of the fireworks:) xxx
Yeah, we didn't like the fireworks either. But we just have a platform bed at our house so we can't really hide under that. Anyway, have a great rest of the weekend!
Daisy of all the friends you have had mommy likes snail the very best! When she was a little girl in Germany, she played with snails too. They had brown and white striped shells and some were pale yellow and others pale orange....very nice snails but slimmy...
That may be true, Daisy, but he's a good friend. Not all friends would sacrifice themselves to see if the fireworks were done yet. I think being a good friend is more important than being speedy :-)
Goodness, you had firworks still going off two days later. Actually I have never seen any fireworks or heard the boom boom noise that Mom talks about. Fireworks are not allowed out here where we are. To much of a fire danger. Loved your Sunday comic. Your Mom and you are so clever with them.
Miss D, I am glad that you and snail stayed safe under the bed. I don't like fireworks either.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week sweetie.
*giggle* Poor slow Snail.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute Daisy! Jingles was hiding during fireworks as well.
ReplyDeleteDaisy,
ReplyDeleteI'm too curious to stay under the bed for long. Poor Snail would not have a chance with me around.
Yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk! We had confidence in you Snail!
ReplyDeleteGo the snail! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI think that Mr. Snail needs a skateboard or something!
ReplyDeleteHehehe, we are cracking up Ms. Daisy 'acause our Mommy is slow, too. Probably SLOWER than Mr. Snail! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you and Pixie Bananers had a great Fourth of July weekend!

ROFL, this is my favorite place to visit on Sundays. I always leave with a smile or a chuckle!
ReplyDeleteWe watched the fire works from our window in the garage. They are very pretty if only they weren't so LOUD! ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis
ReplyDeletePoor snail, he tried!
ReplyDeleteHe he he! Snails are very slow. He might have made it by next 4th July!
ReplyDeletePurrs, Sukie X
Poor snail....he was running...we could tell! We don't like those noisy fireworks either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brave little snail to go check for you Daisy.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to wait a long time for snails to do anyfing.
ReplyDeleteI stayed under the bed too :)

Your pal,
Petey
Daisy, maybe you should have sent George Lizard. I like to hide in the bathroom when there are loud noises.
ReplyDeleteHahaha that is very funny, Daisy. We still have people setting off fireworks at night. Thankfully, they don't bother me. Or Lucky.
ReplyDeleteRoxy
Poor Mr. Snail. We think he showed great courage in being willing to go and see if the fireworks were over!
ReplyDeleteBe careful Daisy! Those fireworks can be sneaky... we are still scared too over here.
ReplyDeletexoxoxoxo
If you depended on Snail, it would be December by the time you find out.

ReplyDeleteIf only they made kitty-sized ear muffs so that we wouldn't have to hear the booms. The vibrations would be another problem, though.

ReplyDeleteHee hee, poor Mr. Snail can't help it if he's slow.
We were all hiding from the fireworks, too.

Daisy neveer fails to cheer me up on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI hope all of the noise crackers are finished around your house. We have had two days of the noise and I am tired of it. Loved the comic.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it wasn't George under the bed with you. I'm sure he would have moved a lot faster.
ReplyDeleteI JUST heard another boomie. Yikes! I thought they were over! It's 12:30 pm on July 6. What are those kids thinking? I think they need a calendar.
Yeah, we didn't like the fireworks either. But we just have a platform bed at our house so we can't really hide under that. Anyway, have a great rest of the weekend!

ReplyDeleteMindy & Moe
I'm sure that by the time Snail had gotten to the window to check for the all-clear, it would have been New Year's Eve-another Fire-Cacklin' Day!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, poor Daisy! You shouldn't have gotten a snail to be your wunner.
ReplyDeleteOh boy. that snail sure is slow. But I'm glad you're safe under the bed
