This is Ernie. He is a Mongolian gerbil. Sometimes gerbils do funny things! Gerbils will thump their back feet to warn other gerbils of danger.
Ernie would like to demonstrate his thumping skills with this little video:
If you follow me on Facebook, you might have already seen this video!
Ernie's got rhythm!

ReplyDeleteare you sure it's not the ole soft shoe?
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely adorable! We trust Bert is safely tucked into the hidey hole because of Ernie's diligence. Apparently Ernie he thinks your mom with a camera is a real and present danger!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll our guinea pig Toby does is "wheek" for veggies.

Aww this might just be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen! He seems like a very nervous gerbil, but I'm sure if the rest of the world seemed as big to me as it does to him, I'd be a little nervous too!

ReplyDeleteYou too are welcome on my Blogaversary party !!
Take Daisy and Harley with you too :)
The publicist had gerbils when she was younger. A friend of her fathers gave her two boy gerbils. I am sure you can imagine how this turned out! She soon had 17 gerbils! Her mother was not happy....but she loved all of her gerbils.
ReplyDeleteErnie's gots some rhythms
Ernie sounds like he is tap dancing! What danger was he seeing - was Harley staring at him?
ReplyDeleteCould that be gerbil Morse code?
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't even tell his little leg was moving, but we could see the rest of him moving. Was there a cat getting too close and that is why he was sending a warning?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like he's tap-dancing!
ReplyDeleteThat was good! I like his funny noises. He's cute. :)
