Is it the box or the cardboard?

You know how we cats love cardboard boxes so much? Well, my Mommeh was wondering if it's actually the box...
Or maybe just the cardboard.
Gimme back my box!

    Good question. Mum thinks the answer might be anything that you do not want fur on, or a tat to sit on, or to clean up and put away - then the pussy cat will sit on it.

    Yeah, we believe it is both. Cardboard is good for sitting on or lying on, but only a box can be squooshed into.

    We do like our boxes but if there isn't a box around, then we will take a piece of cardboard or even a piece of paper. Take good care.

    I think it's both, Daisy. I mean, cardboard has SUCH pro texturez ... and a box in general has SOOOOO much potential! It can be ANYTHING! A ship, an airplane, you name it! Which means the kitty sitting IN the box can be anything too! A pilot or a sailor or a race-car driver ...

    Boxes are good, regardless of what they are made of. Big paper bags, the old fashioned sort that hold their shape, are good, too - if you can find any more these days.

    Or is it just sitting on things? My Grace always sits on my clothes when I leave them out.

    ooooh, we just got a delivery from Lowes....their boxes have a castle drawing on the outside so you can cut out the windows and doors and it makes a cool box for the kitties! Hobbes is Sir Fatsalot today.
