Cardboard is all right, but a box is WAY better!
Good question. Mum thinks the answer might be anything that you do not want fur on, or a tat to sit on, or to clean up and put away - then the pussy cat will sit on it.
Oh, I don't know, Daisy... The Gs will lay, sit, sleep and bathe upon anything that's on top of anything!
We like anything we can sit on, not just in.

Box definitely is preferable to just a piece of cardboard. What was your mom thinking, destroying your box? Boo on mom!
Yeah, we believe it is both. Cardboard is good for sitting on or lying on, but only a box can be squooshed into.
We do like our boxes but if there isn't a box around, then we will take a piece of cardboard or even a piece of paper. Take good care.
I think it's both, Daisy. I mean, cardboard has SUCH pro texturez ... and a box in general has SOOOOO much potential! It can be ANYTHING! A ship, an airplane, you name it! Which means the kitty sitting IN the box can be anything too! A pilot or a sailor or a race-car driver ...

Boxes are good, regardless of what they are made of. Big paper bags, the old fashioned sort that hold their shape, are good, too - if you can find any more these days.

Do you knowed Aswell do thinked boxes do be very fun for ripping? He do liked to ripped cardboard all up into little bits and maked a mess.

Its the box. Always the box. Boxes are great. Flat cardboard isn't.

ooooh, we just got a delivery from Lowes....their boxes have a castle drawing on the outside so you can cut out the windows and doors and it makes a cool box for the kitties! Hobbes is Sir Fatsalot today.
