More Weekend Adventures
This is a picture from when my Mommie and Daddie hiked to the top of Old Rag Mountain last year. Old Rag Mountain is located in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. There are some very large rocks there that are FUN to climb. I do not know why it has that funny name because I did not see any old rags there.
I heard that it is very beautiful there, but Mommie would not let me go. So, I secretly followed her! Here I am posing at the summit. My legs were tired when I was done.
Professor Daisy's Tip for Cats: If you secretly climb a mountain, do not fall off! Or, you might not get rescued. A GPS might help you though.
24 Notes for Daisy:
Wow, Daisy, your legs must have been VERY tired. That looks like a very cool place to climb!

Boy, that looks like some hike. Sure looks beautiful up there though. Must have been worth the climb. I think my legs would have been tired too. Mom has been to a lot of states but she has never been to the east coast and she would love to go sometime, especially when the trees are turning in the fall.

Omigosh, you were *brave, Daisy! What a stunning place, though!

That is a gorgeous place that you hiked to, Daisy. You must have been very tired but also very brave to go there. We don't like to go out front of our house very much!
China Cat & Willow
That's a long climb for a little cat like you. Way to go!
here you go again wif the heights, getting me all scared that you will fall or somefin. Did your mommie know that you were there this time, or were you sneaking around again?
Cute. You look like a Lion on the rocks, a cute sweet tame lion. Haha...
How precious Daisy!! Where is your backpack? With you being quite the fashionista, I would expect the color coordinated gear, comfy leather boots, zip-off pant legs, etc.
And perhaps a mini-stove to brew your afternoon tea.

Oh, I'd love to hang out with you. If only I could have such exciting adventures too.

You are so smart. You are also furry brave to climb a whole mountain without being seen by your parents or fallin' off.
DMM
Daisy, you are amazing! You may be the only cat who has ever climbed a mountain!
LOKi
Wow! We are very impressed! You go to our Mom's favorite places. Mom has been hiking Old Rag since the 70s when she was 15. In fact, the desktop photo on our computer screen is of old Rag this past spring! We think that our picture should be on the computer background, but Mom assures us that our picture is on her computer at work.
For those who don't know, Mom tells us that it's called Old Rag (or Old Raggety) because the mountain is very old and from a distance its rocky top (which is unusual in Virginia) looks all jagged or ragged.
