Please keep Daisy in your thoughts today...
This is Daisy's Mommie reporting. Daisy went back to see the doctor today to make sure the special prescription diet was working to dissolve her bladder stones. Unfortunately, it did not help. So she is currently still at the vet's office awaiting surgery today. She will have an incision in her abdomen, and they will go into her bladder to remove the stones. After that she will have to remain on a special Ph neutral diet for the rest of her life. Her surgery is scheduled for about 1:00 EST. She will get to go home late tomorrow afternoon. The doctor will call me after she is out of surgery to report on how Daisy is doing.
ps: Please take a look at Pixie's post for today, below. She was very proud that she got to do her very own post since Daisy was not able to today.
I feel terrible, because I told Daisy she was just going in for an X-ray! I had no idea she would be having surgery this afternoon. Daisy tried to act brave, and put on her scowly face, but she was shaking and her paws were all sweaty. She didn't even get to go out in her stroller today. The house is very, very quiet without the little curly clown running around here. I will post an update later.

UPDATE:
I just got a call from the vet. The surgery went well! Daisy is in recovery, and is still very groggy. The x-rays showed that all of the stones were removed. She will remain on fluids for the rest of the day, and if she is still doing okay, she can go home tomorrow at about 2:00 EST. Thanks for all of your good wishes!
Another UPDATE:
The doctor called again. She said that Daisy is doing fine, but is not happy about being in the hospital, and is hiding underneath her blanket. When they put her back on top of her blanket, she crawls back under again. She will go home tomorrow afternoon with antibiotics and pain medication. That's my Daisy!
51 Notes for Daisy:
Definitly will be thinking of the curly cat girl and purraying for her! And you mom, I know you're probably nervous, but all will go just fine!
We will be sending good vibes and purraying for Daisy!
Hang in there. You'll be feeling better in no time and be back to modelling cute sundresses.
We are all praying for sweet little Daisy and will be all day long.
KC says to tell her to be a 'tough a*s curly cat' and try not to be too scared (easier said than done).
Thanks for keeping us posted.
We (my and my humans) are praying for Daisy and sending positive thoughts her way.
Feel better soon, our new little friend!
Listen up... I've had that surgery THREE times. Daisy, you will feel so much better when it's over.
But the thing is... you've got to always eat your special diet food. See, I didn't do that. I sneaked and ate regular food from my brother's plate and that's how I got stones again.
I will keep my paws crossed for you Daisy because I love you. But you'll be fine and you'll feel better when it's all over.

My fraidy-cat sister Lizzie had bladder stones removed a bunch of naps ago, and she's been so much better since then. All the Good Cats send get-well vibes and hope that your recovery is just as quick and just as complete!
(Redoing comment and adding the word "removed", which makes a surprising amount of difference in the meaning... :-)

Ooooh - we wish she was home already - it's probaly furry scary there without her fambly - maybe we'll teleport over there later tonight and give her snuggles :)
Tara's Mom here. Thanks Daisy's mom, for sending well wishes to Tara for her girl kitty surgery, especially when Daisy was having a really hard time! I'm glad it went well. Tara also didn't like being in the hospital...the vet tech had to use a towel to put her in her carrier. So I think it is a good sign Daisy is being spunky!!
Daisy, I am so sorry you had to have such a big owie. Hang in there!
We (me and my humans) are glad to hear the surgery went well! I can just picture Daisy hiding under her blanket!
