Photo Hunters: Lazy
The Photo Hunters theme this week is lazy. I was my very laziest back in January of 2007 when I had surgery to remove the stones from my bladder. I still do not know how those rocks got inside there, but after my surgery, I was Not Allowed to run and jump around. So I spent some time lounging in the sun on one of my sleeping bags. The sun felt good on my sore tummy.
I had my food and water set up for me in the bedroom so I could stay in one room during my recovery. I did not even have to get out of bed to eat!
And I was so lazy, I did not even stand up to scratch on my post!I slept a lot during my recovery, too. I hope you do not think poorly of me for being lazy. I think it is okay to be lazy when you are recovering from surgery.
82 Notes for Daisy:
Miss D, you are the unlaziest girl I know. I am glad you got rid of your rocks.
Have a lovely weekend sweetie.
You are Princess now, can be as lazy as you wish!
Anyone who thinks poorly of you for resting after a big operation needs the rocks removed from their head, Daisy! :)

Daisy....you rule!!!
Mine's a lazy 'nut caper' this week, somebody's grabbing my nuts and running away! Come on by to have a look see if you can find time.
Happy weekend.
It's perfectly okay to be lazy when recovering from surgery. Actually I think it's perfectly okay to rest whenever you've got nothing else to do. You never know when you're gonna need it! (Mom: that's the most stupid excuse ever. He's just plain lazy!)
Kisses,
Bajas
I think that being lazy after having rocks removed is a good thing! You had such a great recovery room!
Lazy Daisy? Never! You look so sweet as Sleeping Daisy! Rather like a Sleeping Beauty, dear Daisy!
That's okay, Daisy. I was just like you after I had a giant rock removed from my gall bladder. Nobody gave me a scratching post, though.
Come over and visit JJ, won't you?

She can teach you about lazy!
We think you are suppose to be lazy when you are recovering from surgery. Resting helps you heal, we hope you don't have any more trouble with stones. ~S,S & C

Happy Weekend to you!!
Just think if you hadn't been Lazy then you couldn't be so vivacious and capricious now !~!!!!
I don't think that is lazy at all! You needed some time to get fit and well.
Purrs, Sukie x
Daisy,
I don't think I've ever seen a photo of you sleeping before. You look so sweet and serene!
Your pals,
Petey and Mica
Hey, Daisy...your tummy was bald!!!
We heard it's okay to be lazy when you have surgery...
i won't hold it against u although lying down to scratch your scratching post is mighty lazy.
Poor Miss Daisy! We are glad you're all better!
Miss Daisy, the Old Sarge says you were not lazy, I have had surgery and I know you were just doing what you needed to do.....
Oh Daisy, it's a furry good idea to be lazy when recovering from surjuree...dat was a major operashon yoo had! If someone thinks dats being lazy and is bad den dey prolly never hadded a major operashon,
Daisy, it it purrfectly acceptable to be lazy after recovering from surgery. Our Momma knows that for sure, being that she has had a few surgeries in the past decade ...
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Glad you recovered so well!
It's quite alright to be a little bit lazy after that surgery! That was very traumatic for the Daisy girl!
Luf, Us
Being lazy once in a while is okay, even if you don't have surgery! I'm glad you had such a lovely place in which to recover. And I kiss your itty bitty shaved pink belly!
That's cute - good reason to be lazy.
Oh dear! I had not realize that you had stones in your bladder, but I'm glad you recovered. One thing I learned from mommy is that it's TOTALLY ok to be lazy, esp when you need to recover, I mean she used to be so lazy after her operation and nowadays she's real lazy too....
~Marie
Of course we do not think badly of you! When you are recovering from surgery, of course you are supposed to take care of yourself and be lazy!
It is perfectly okay to rest up after surjaree. Hoomans do it all the time. I love your recovery room-- I am going to do that next time I has a sick.
Oh poor Daisy! That wasn't being lazy, that was being sensible, for a speedy recovery. I'm happy to read this was all a long time ago.
You really weren't lazy ! you just took care of yourself ! what a cute belly even after an operation !
Surgery, ow! It must have been hard, being on a regimen of forced laziness. You have bounced back very nicely, Daisy!
Thank you for visiting my Photo Hunt!
Adorable as usual! Those stitches look like they hurt!
Hi, Daisy!
I don't see what is wrong with being lazy! I am lazy and I love it!
Hope you are having a great saturday!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
We're glad our Curly Cat is all better now!
It's ok to be lazy when yoo has to recover. Yoo is not lazy now though!
It's definitely okay to be lazy after an operation Daisy. Better to be active and recover fast! Happy weekend
Nothing is lazier than a cat. They truly have it down to an artform!
i remember wen u had dat surjerie, daisy.
it wuz ok to be lazy fer dat!
luv--jh
Oh, Daisy, you were not being lazy! You were being a very smart girl and resting up, which is very important after surgery. I'm glad you're all better now.
JD at I Do Things
You looked so sweet, Daisy. We are very glad you had that problem taken care of. Resting and being lazy was a smart thing to do!
You still look sweet!!
~ Bob and Patrick
I wonder if those rocks were the marbles I lost. ;)
Your mommie took such good care of you, serving you breakfast in bed when you were recovering.
I forgot to tell you I have something for you on my beetle blog :O)
Thats not lazy Daisy, that just recovery. -smile-
But you weren't really being lazy, Daisy! You were just doing what the doctor ordered!!!
I remember when I had mine taken out, too, and I was certainly lazy. I agree with you that it's perfectly all right under those circumstances!
Daisy, I see you stretching. I think as Gandalf and Grayson said in their post, it is not lazy so much as it is energy efficient (so much more positive, particularly when you are healing).
Daisy dear, when one is recovering from a surgery it is essential to be lazy. So, you were the perfect and very sensible patient.
You look awfully cute stretched out on the sleeping bag with your little scar ;)
I am glad you don't have rocks in your tummy anymore. Did you know that some birds have rocks in their tummies? Do you share your climbing tree with Harley? Are you both taking lazy naps in the sun?
Hugs,
Puglette
:o)
How skeery to have rocks in your tummy. We're glad you are ok and we don't think that you were lazy at all. You were working hard on getting better!
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
tummy rocks sounds painful. we are glad they threw those rocks away.
oh yes, it is very appropriate to be all lazy when you feel hurt.
maw says she thinks you are such a really cute kitty, she wants to hug and kiss ya. that is what she told me to write.
-wlk cats
Oh Daisy, you were entitled to be lazy during your recovery ;) I'm sure you're not lazy when you feel 100% :)
Hope you have a quick recovery. Horses get stones too, I hope I never have them
Daisy...to be resting your poor little tummy after surgery is not lazy, you need to rest to mend and to let your pretty furs grow back :o)
You had bladder stones? How horrible. Recovering from surgery is not being lazy. Well, actually it is, but it's like being lazy with a stay off the job note from your vet.
poor sweetheart! i'm glad you had surgery to remove your rocks. mommy had rocks in her gallbladder and had to have it removed 3 years ago. i helped her recover.
You look so comfy! But I don't really think you're lazy :)
I posted photos of 2 of my girls...who ARE lazy;)
Daisy you deserved to be lazy after your surgery and even now that you are better you can still be lazy anytime you want to!
Hmmm, perhaps I should make a fib to momma that I'm reooperatin' from surgery. Then she won't say I'm layzee.
I saw your post about Harley stealing your crown. Do you think he likes pink??
Daisy, I don't not think poorly of you for being lazy after surgery. I am still being lazy after my surgery too.
~Maggie May~
Awwww, Daisy! I'm glad you hadded a good surgury and reckofury. Looks like you were furry comfy and cozy!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
I'm lazy all the time - before surgery, during it, after it, you name it... You, precious little curly one, are definitely not lazy:) xxx
There are all times when we deserve to be "lazy" and that was one of them!
Purrs,
Abby & Stygia
Daisy, it is vital that you take it easy after surgery. I hope you don't get any more rocks in your insides.
You were only doing what you were supposed to do after your operation so you could get better and jump and run like you do now. You're so cute!
Ah sweet Daisy, you deserved to be pampered and spoiled after a major operation! I'd be upset if you were up and playin cause you might pull out a stitch or two. It looks like you had everything well planned and enjoying every minute of it! Mom loves to collect rocks. Did you get to keep those rocks in your tummy? *giggles*
Hugs n Purrs,
Toulouse

...time heals.....
You are usually a very busy kitty so I think it was good you were lazy while you got better. You probably got better faster.
Dear Daisy, it is perfectly acceptable to be lazy when you recover. If you are not lazy, then you do not recover as quickly.
Roxy
PS Harley looked funny with your crown.
Thanks for visiting and commenting Daisy. I'm pretty sure the tiny spider is her husband spider, and probably also lunch.
Da purrrfect excuse!
Cute kitty!

I had surgery 2 years ago, and I was definitely lazy for a good 6 weeks after my surgery.
I'm so happy you're better now. You know, you get a free pass to be lazy whenever you're sick. It's OK. :)
Oh Daisy you can be lazy anytime you want!!! =)
