My Purrfect Post

Today I am going to tell you about another product I recommend! I do not get any moneys for this, I just want to tell you about Good Things for cats. Here is a picture of my PurrFect Post from when I first got it in November 2005. Back then, I lived in the state called Virginia. See how little I was then?
I scratch on my post like crazy every single day. Here is my post over 3 years later, and it is still as good as new!
It is covered in sisal fabric that feels real good under the clawrs. And it's heavy so it has not ever tipped over.
Sometimes I do stunts off the top. But I recommend this only for very experienced acrobat cats.
Harley loves the post, too!
You can click HERE to see the regular PurrFect post. Now they make something called a MONDO post! I might save up my allowance for that one. What kind of scratchin' post do you like to use?

I have a sisal post in my cat tower but I can't get to it because of all mum's crap that is in my way. I scratch the carpet though and I am allowed to!

That looks like a great scratching post. My dad made one himself for his cats by just using some carpet scraps he had leftover. His cats really enjoyed tearing it to bits! Every time I'd go up there, carpet bits were all over the floor!

Good imagination.

Hmm I have a scratching post but it is not as good as that one. I will have to talk my Mommy into buying this one. I think it could withstand my powerful clawrs much better.

Wow! That post is better than perfect! Mum wants to get us a nice tall one like that, but has had trouble finding one that doesn't topple with a slight breeze. We both scratch on the sisal bits of our cat tree, and Fui loves getting stuck into the carpeted base. My favourite thing to scratch on is a tree out the back. I rip into it!

Little baby Daisy made her debut on our blog today:)

You are perfect models for your nice post. I think that you should send a link to the manufacturers, as we are sure they would want to hear from an uber cat celebrity, and how much she loves their product.

I have a post, but it is too little for me to scratch on now.

The WriggleButts said...

That looks like a really great post!

Well it seems kitties love sisal. My babies have a carpet and sisal post but mostly they use the sisal part, oh and the sisal area rug we have LOL

The Island Cats said...

Thanks, Daisy! We need a new scratching post and mom's been looking for one. We're gonna show her this one and see if she will get this one for us!

Hansel said...

Hey daisy, that is a fantastic post! and, how did you get to advertise the other products? Its so cool!

Sweet Purrfections said...

I also have a sisal scratching post and I use it all the time. Mom says it's about time to get another one.

The Creek Cats said...

That post is totally pawsome!

We likes trees our favourite to use as a scratching post is the popcorn tree.

We thinks your post would be good for rainy days when we don't want to go outside. We may ask Mommy to get us one for Christmas. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

Our condo has a scratching post which we use all the time, even though we do not have any front clawrs. We do not remember what kind it is. Mom got it for us at PetSmart a squillion years ago.

We also love to use our woodpile as a scratching post. It has very good smells on it.

The Florida Furkids said...

We have a giant post with all kinds of places to sleep. Mom bought it at a Cat show from a nice man from New Hampshire way before we moved to Florida. Ours is in great shape too.

That looks so nice. Hardly obtrusive in the room. Enjoy.

Cory said...

That is the coolest scratching post! It's never too early to start the Christmas wish list, right?

We used to have a post like that but nobody used it. I like my Alpine scratcher the very best!

Great acrobatic jump from the top of your post Daisy!

Milo and Alfie said...

We like to use Mom's furniture! She bought us a post but it's rubbish so we still use the furniture. Tee hee!

Anonymous said...

Thank you for telling us about the cool scratching post. What a fantastic find.! I like that it doesn't look so 'shredded' after such long term use. Our carpet covered post loses little pieces of material every time it's used. Plus it looks terrible in a short period of time.

:)

i may have to get one of those... the boyz scratching post is so light that Theo inevitably pulls it over on top of him every single time....

Gus and Pru would love a scratching post like this. Right now they have a small ramp-like scratchy toy that they enjoy shredding and making a big mess out of. It is not nearly as durable as your post.

Angel, Kirby and Max said...

That is a great post, scratching post, Daisy. Mom has been looking at those so we may get one. You ans Harley are good to demo products for us!

The Oceanside Animals said...

If this is the regular post, I can't imagine how big the Mondo post must be!

Christine and FAZ said...

My human has bought me several scratching posts and mats over the years but I still prefer the expensive Rolf Benz chair they bought from Germany (now they have to have it recovered due to me). I guess I am just plain difficult. FAZ

Jans Funny Farm said...

We can't remember if we have one of those or one similar. But there are 6 of us -- no, 5, Rusty doesn't have claws -- so ours won't last as long as yours will. But we like it too.

Of course, we also like the furniture. We don't understand why Jan gets upset when we use that. Isn't that what furniture is for?

Puglette said...

what a cool scratching post! i can't believe it's that old, it looks like new!
have a good day of keeping your clawrs nice and sharp!

That post sounds purrfect. My post is too short and light. Meowza likes to scratch the furniture which I don't like very much.

LZ said...

What a great scritching tower, I remember seeing you do all sorts of acrobatic stuff on it. Our scratching thing is so short I have to hang from it, stretch my back legs out, and touch my tummy to the floor to get a good scritch.

That looks like a great cat post. WE need one of those so that I stop scratching on the stairs...

Very nice looking blog. I can tell you are passionate about your cats! Maybe I should get one of those posts, and keep our cat Baby from clawing the furniture!

What an awesome scratching post Daisy! Cricket seems to prefer our old sofa that sit sadly in our parlor. :) I hope you and Harley got lots of treats for Easter. I saw that you will have your own Hallmark card? How cool! See? I told you you would be great on a card! I didn't even know about this contest. My husband says I'm spooky like that sometimes. :) I can't wait to see it in the store. I will buy a few of them just to show off and say, "I know her!" :)
Have a really happy day.

Dat is a great scratching post Daisy, we haf several but dey all look kinda wore out. Dad put one on da wall in da "foster kitty" room downstairs. It's just carpet squares attached to a board and bolted to da wall. We like to climb dat one, but it's starting to look kinda bad.

Hi Daisy,

That sure is a tall scratching post, we would love to have one that is that tall! How much fun to jump off of!

nice one daisy! We made our own - it's so simple, and it goes to the roof!! I climb it to the top, just for fun!

That is an awesome post. Great for clawr sharpening. We scratch on anything that's scratch-able. EG likes those cardboard scratchy things (and the couch). I like to use our condo (and the couch). hee hee

I don't have a scratching post because I am a goat but our Farm cats have one that a very good friend made for them with berber carpet on it. It has a curved top so they can sleep on it too.

You are indeed an experienced acrobat cat!

Marilyn said...

I don't have a scratching post but I do have a back scratcher. Your post is nicer though.

The Fitness Diva said...

wow, you get an allowance, too?
You cats got a good thing going over there! :D

Cat with a Garden said...

The post looks so scratchalicious!
For scratching we like: mom's office chair, a water hyacinth covered sitting cube, a piece of sisal carpet loosely lying on the floor, not so much our big cat tree (much to mom's dismay!), but very much our small cattree in the kitchen.
Purrs!

We REALLY wanted to git da MONDO post, but da economic state of affairs prevented that. We DID git da regular Purrfect Post and we LUV LUV LUV it! We would hightly recommend it too . . . even da blurp tries to file her nails on it!

Sunny's Mommy said...

That's a nice scratching post :-)

Our cats have a 2 story condo, box shape with 2 openings. Sunny's Daddy made it out of 3/4" plywood and carpeted it inside and out with berber. It is sturdy! When Our dog Stitch was younger and healthier (90+ lb Lab, RIP), he used to jump up on it to bark at the SQs (squirrels) outside.

The carpet on the outside needs to be replaced. Sunny's tore up the outside corner edges :-p

That does look like a great scratching post. We, well I (Junior) use the cat tree.......and the carpet. Since Orion has no claws he doesn't scratch anything. He tries to though, and when he gets Meowms feet, she tells him thank you for the massage.

MYM said...

That does look like a good post. The one I have for my cats can tip over. And one of my cats (Bear) likes one of my chairs! She can be a bad cat sometimes ;)

Thats a nice scratchin post! We have a board covered in sisal rope that is attached ta our kitty tower. An we got a cardboard scratchpad onna floor that The Big Thing made fer us.

The scratching posts on our cat tree are sisal and we use them all the time.
Flynn: I like to use the carpet in the dining room too but I get told off if mum or dad hear me.

Oh, Daisy! Your post couldn't have come at a better time. I've totally shredded my post. Mommie bought me another one, but I don't like it.

Since the post is Daisy-tested and approved, I want the one you have!

Buddah has had a sisal scratching post for about a year and a half and his still looks that good, too. But the People are talking about making him a taller one because 36" just isn't enough for him to really stretch out on. He'd like that Mondo one, I think.

Aw, look at you! Yes, those kinds of posts are the best. We used to have the carpet covered ones, but they didn't last long with three cats scratching on it! Now we have rope covered posts on their cat condo. After months of scratching and abuse, there is no wear at all!
