Photo Hunters: Sports

The Photo Hunter theme this week is sports. I do not play many sports, myself. But you might be surprised to learn that jumping beans enjoy many sports! These were my pet beans.
My Jumping Beans always enjoyed playing football! Usually the Home Beans won. On account of they had home beanfield advantage.
I spent many happy hours playing sports with my Jumping Beans.
This one is doing the sport of cliff diving. Hey, bean! Look out below!
When I realized my Jumping Beans enjoyed the sport of swimming, I borrowed the pool from my Sea Monkeys. Since the Sea Monkeys were already deaded.
When I looked closer, I realized that my Beans were not enjoying swimming as much as I thought.
When I went to dry them off, my beans decided to take up the sport of flying. They fly real good.
My beans are all deaded now. But not on account of their love of extreme sports. I think they just got old.

Photo Hunters: Favorite

The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is: favorite. I have had several pets of my very own, and I been thinking real hard about which was my most favorite. I had a lot of fun with my jumping beans. But in the end, I could never really see eye to eye with my beans. Oh, and they got deaded, too.
I got to study my very own pet lizard in the Scientific Observation Pen. I enjoyed that a lot. But since I only got to keep him for less than an hour before he was released into the wild, I do not think he qualifies as a pet.
It was very exciting to create Sea Monkey life. Doing experiments is fun!
Here I am watching my baby Sea Monkeys develop.
But in the end, they all got deaded, too. And they never learned tricks. And I found out they are not really monkeys. I wish I could have a real monkey for a pet.
I also hatched my very own butterflies! They did not die, but I had to let them go. Even though I wanted to train them to walk on a leash.
Finally, here is my pet rock, sTony. He is a good pet.
And he is not deaded. I love you, pet rock. You are my favorite pet.

Um, about my Jumping Beans...

I have been so busy lately that I have neglected my Jumping Bean pets for weeks. I guess I am a little irresponsible. Now, I'm very worried to open the Jumping Bean holding tin...
OH NOES! They seem a little bit dried-up. And how did that bug get inside?
Hey Beans! You alive in there? Move around or something...
I know! I will give my Jumping Beans a very special treat: they can swim in the Sea Monkey enclosure... since the Sea Monkeys are not using it any more. Please do not ask what happened to my Sea Monkeys. I do not wish to dwell on that.
Hmmm. The Jumping Beans are not having much fun. They are not swimming around at all!
Let me examine them closer with my scientific magnifying glass....
AAAAHHHHHH! They are ALL DEADED! I can hardly believe my eyes. Why do all my pets meet with such tragic ends? First the Sea Monkeys, and now the Jumping Beans.
Well, you will be happy to know that I already have another pet on order. It will arrive in the mail in about a week. I can hardly wait! It is a big surprise, so I will not tell you what it is.

ps: Have you noticed that all my pets arrive through the mail?

Thoughts on Thursday: Jumping Beans Make Boring Pets

I have been thinking about my Jumping Bean pets, and I must be honest about them. They are more fun than my Sea Monkeys, but I do not think they are ideal pets. I will explain why. I hope this does not hurt my Beans' feelings. First, and most importantly, my Jumping Beans are not good at playing. I wanted to play a game of Catnip Carrot, and but my Jumping Bean would not play. He just sat there. He did not even jump!
I must also report that my Jumping Beans are not good at making conversation. Here I am waiting for my Jumping Bean to speak. He never did. Not even a single click.
Next I learned that you cannot train a Jumping Bean to use a litter box. In fact, I have never even seen my Jumping Beans go potty. I even put him in my litter box, but he did not perform.
Here is something even more disappointing: Jumping Beans do not enjoy dressing up. Not even in cute Hello Kitty fashions.
And the worst thing of all, Jumping Beans do not enjoy cuddling and napping with me.
So, I have concluded that Jumping Beans are better pets than Sea Monkeys. But just barely.

Monday Mystery: Daisy's Sportsbook

Welcome to Daisy's Sportsbook! If you are Not Allowed to bet on games, you should probably leave now. Sorry. Because today, we are going to have a game of Jumping Bean Football!

First, let's meet the contestants. On the right, playing for the Away Beans is our star, Mean Joe Green-Bean! And playing for the Home Beans is the slightly overweight and out-of-shape Has-Bean! Let's hear it for our contestants.
Shake hands, beans. Now, let's have a fun game!
Go, go, go Mean Joe Green-Bean!
Come on, Has-Bean! Maybe you can pull off an upset win!
For today's Monday Mystery, you must figure out which bean will win:

A. Mean Joe Green-Bean
B. Has-Bean
C. Neither bean: there was a tie, and neither bean could score in overtime
D. Neither bean: Daisy was arrested for running an illegal sportsbook

Do you think you know the answer? Click HERE to see if you are correct!

Bathing my Filthy Beans

The instructions for my pet Jumping Beans say that I should give my pets a bath about once a week. I never knew Jumping Beans were so filthy. But I think it is very important to follow instructions. If you do not own a microscope, you can click to enlarge the instructions.
Here I am explaining to my Beans that they are about to take a bath. I think they are happy about this. But I am not certain. They are swimming all around. I hope they get very clean.
Why are they taking so long? This is getting boring. I think it is time to end the bath.
Wheee! It's like a water slide! Hahahahaha!
Now my beans are all wet. I had a great idea! But my Mommie reminded me that I am Not Allowed to work anything that has electricity. I guess my Beans will have to dry naturally. I hope my Beans do not catch a mold. Hahahahaha!

My new jumpity pets!

You might remember that I did not do very well with my pet Sea Monkeys. Well, now that I am older and more responsible, I have decided to give pet ownership another try. Meet my new friends, the Jumping Beans!
If you will notice, the Care and Feeding instructions say "...not recommended for children under 4." Since I just turned four years old, this means I am Allowed to have these pets. The Jumping Beans like to jump around, all the time! It makes a funny clicking sound if you listen very closely. You will not believe what they were singing! This is what I heard:

We came to get down
So get out your seats and jump around
Jump around
Jump up, Jump up and get down.
I can tell my Jumping Beans already like me because they lined up and came right over to meet me!
We decided to play a funny game together. Grab the Jumping Bean...
... and see how far he can jump! Hahahahahaha!
Uh oh. I just read the instructions again. I guess I missed the part that says "do not throw the jumping bean." I will stand watch over this one to make sure he is okay. It is possible that I will have to do Jumping Bean CPR. Maybe I should have gotten String beans, instead.
Taking care of a pet is very, very hard.
