Flying Quilts and Pixie's Big Heart
First, I want to show the beautiful quilt that Millie's Mommie made! I love it. It is a very pretty pink color, and I can tell it was made with love. My Mommie put it right by my favorite window, so I can lay on it all the time. Thanks again for making such a beautiful quilt!
I have also discovered that it is perfect for relaxing on, and grooming. See, I have learned how to be modest and cover my "private" spots while I am grooming. Because I am a lady.
Then, I realized that the quilt is more than just for laying on. It is also a fun TOY! You can grab it, and rassle with it, and even bunny kick the quilt. And when you are done, you can take a nap on your toy.And I have learned that Skeezix is getting the very same color quilt that I have! That is very exciting.

Pixie also went to the cardiologist last week for her 6-month heart check. The newest report says these things about my sister:
Diagnosis: Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Extremely severe left atrial dilation. Occasional atrial premature complexes. Suspect complex partial seizures. History of syncope with sinus arrest and ventricular escape rhythm.
Recommendations: Persistent severe structural heart disease is present and continues to present a high risk for congestive heart failure or blood clot formation. Her heart rate was significantly elevated during today's exam, raising the indication for use of a low-dose beta-blocker.
Echocardiogram: Moderate concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. Moderate mitral regurgitation with extremely severe left atrial enlargement. Mild decline in myocardial function. Increased endocardial echogenicity. Dynamic LVOT obstruction due to systolic anerior mitral motion.
Anyway, I have decided to try to be nicer to my sister since her heart hurts her. Maybe that will help her to get better! I hope so.

44 Notes for Daisy:
Hi Daisy,
that quilt is gorgeous. I know what you mean about rassling -- I do that too with an antique wool rug that we have in our house.
Pixie's heart disease is worrisome, isn't it? But it sounds like she's getting the best care and most importantly is that she is well-loved.
Your quilt is beautiful Daisy! :) And you look lovely on it. :) Wonderful photos. :)
Poor Pixie. :( I hope that with her medications and all the good care she receives, she lives a long, happy life. She is in our thoughts and purrayers here.

First of all Daisy you look beautiful on that quilt as you always do. And Pixie is in our thoughts and prayers at our house too. She is obviously one special and strong kitty to have made it through all she has. We just love her.
And we love you too. We just love your blog whether it's you or Pixie blogging. We love the stroller reports, all the pictures, the way you tell stories, and seeing all the talents you have! Our Mom's favorite post is the one where you showed the present you made your Dad for his birthday. We never found out what he thought about it, but we're sure he loved it. We look forward to your blog everyday to see what such a sweet kitty will be up to next. Thank you for your blog! Hugs and purrs from Mattingly and Harlie
PS... Harlie says thanks for being so kind about her hairball issue!
Such a pretty quilt Daisy and so versatile too. The colors are beautiful.

The quilt is excellent! Thanks for sharing it!! Maybe you can teach Katie how to be more lady-like..? I think she could use a few pointers from a sophisticated cat like you.
That's a lovely quilt - we're looking forward to receiving ours too. We're sending lots of cuddles and purrs to Pixie. Take good care of that sweet girl!
Daisy, please give Pixie our love. She has a heart of gold and we hope she continues to do well on her medications. And, yes, be kind to her, and give her some space. But we know you're trying to do that anyway since you're the founder of the Pink Ladies.
