I been thinking a lot about my belly button lately. Here are
13 things I thought:
- If my belly button comes unbuttoned, will the contents of my stomach spill out?
- I kind of wish I had a snap instead of a button.
- My belly button is very clean, and no lint collects there.
- Why do some oranges have a navel?
- My belly button is an Innie.
- Do any cats have an Outie?
- Who cut the cord when I was borned? I am pretty sure my cat-mommie chewed it off. This bothers me a little bit.
- I can clean my belly button with my tongue.
- My belly button has never come off. This is not true about the buttons on some of my fashions.
- I like to have my tummy rubbed, but I do not like to have my belly button poked.
- I got a big scar from when I had my bladder stone surgery. I think this is why my tummy is kind of saggy. The scar did not hurt my belly button.
- If you want to see a picture from right after my surgery, click HERE. I warn you, it is a little bit icky. You can see my belly button and my hurty from the surgery.
- Belly buttons are funny!
Thursday 13, Edition #46: Contemplating my Navel
57 Notes for Daisy:
Fun list about your belly button, Daisy. Did you know that it is called the umbillicus? You can see mine all the time since I don't have any fur. That's a good question about oranges.
You make us laugh Daisy! We never thought much about belly buttons, but after reading your post we are going to go and check them out.
We are having a casting call for our script for Sassy's blog. Looking for actors, if you are interested stop on by.
Puuurs,

I need to look for mine, I did not even know I had one!
Hi kitty cat! If ever you do figure out the answer to #1, let me know. I wonder about that sometimes.
You are very silly Daisy. We have looked and looked and we can't find our belly buttons. Mommy says we have too much fur.

Yoo hafta pull it apart to see in. Kitty mom's are apposeta chew off da cord, dat is a sign of a good kitty mom. Okay, we'z gonna go nap now...
Nice list although #1 and #12 kind of 'ewwwwed' me out...
Hi Daisy,
This was a fun list.I didn't know I had a belly button.
OK....the LL has a strange icky thing about belly buttons. She gets all squeamish when she hears about them and freaked out. No idea why....but I'm sorry I couldn't read your T13. Humans are WEIRD.
Kaze
you are lucky, I do get lint in my belly button.
Sweet Daisy ... I didn't even know cats had belly buttons!! Cute list. Belly buttons ARE funny! :)
Oh my goodness Daisy! Your belly button is too cute. I don't think I have a belly button. If I do, it is covered with so much floof no one will ever see it.
My mom laughed so hard when you said you would rather have a snap! You are so funny!
-Jasper McKitten-Cat
You wish that you had a belly snap instead of a belly button! You are hilarious, Daisy. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
PS Your hurty place made me very sad. :(
Hee hee. There's something very funny about kitty belly buttons.
We just looked, and we can't find ours :(
My tummy is so floofy that I don't know if there is a belly button under there! I'll go look at China Cat's tummy - she licked most of her fur from her tummy, so if she has one I should be able to see it!
Purrrrrrs, Willow
Holy Full Monty! Am I allowed to see that?
I haven't seen my belly button! Maybe I lost it!
Meowm thinks that she who came before me's belly button was right where her solid white strip of fur was.
That wuz fun learning about belly buttons. We looked but can't find ours. Mebbe they fell off when we wuz walking in the feelds.
We are not sure that we have belly buttons. Maybe we have belly snaps. Do you get a choice?
Molly says yes, mommy cats do chew off the cords to makes the button.
I bets your button is as cutes as you.
No T13 for us today but will pick it ups next weeks as well as tellings who the winner for the contest is.
ha! You are very silly, Daisy. Numbers 1 & 2 made us laugh.
I do not think any cats have outies. Maybe kittens do for a little while?
I don't know if I even have a belly button...
My Bean does not have a belly button. It fall off. Now I am afraid mine will fall off too. Then again, she could be alien, maybe that is the problem.
That's a very precious picture of your after surgery. And you look every relax, also means that your vet has a great skills~!!!
My belly buttons are not showing all the time, but michico loves to find it, aren't she bored~
your Belly buttons are great~!!
My furs are too long so my belly button is hidded. Yor hurty was lyke wen I had my 'bits' done and mummy had to lift me on to the settee cos it was too sore to jump up.

Tell your mommy to give you a scratch under the chin from me.

You crack us up Daisy!!!
Luf, Us
Dat's one pretty pink belly button! I spendz lots of time lookin' at my belly button too... It's one of my fave things to do! ;)
I think I have too much fur to find my belly button. I looked and looked but I can't find it. Could I not have one?!
I .... can't ..... breeeethe ....!
Daisy, that's such a cute TT, it made me laugh and laugh! I heard the other day that beans always seem to have blue lint in their belly buttons but nobean knows why. Well, I wear blue-jeans most of the time but I can't remember ever having blue, or any other coloured, lint in my belly button, even though I can't reach it with my tongue (eeewwwww) lol!:) xxx
I fink Miles and I haf outie belly buttons. we can't see our belly button, but the furs ofur it stick out and when mommy brushes us or pets our bellies, the belly button furs won't go down, they just still stick out. - Sammy
Daisy you come up with the most philosophical topics some days.
We don't know if any cats have an outie, but Bajas does! And that hurty looks painful! We hope you got plenty of sympathy cuddles and yummies from your mommie!
the WriggleButts
I am stunned! I didn't even know I had a belly button! I will have to search through my furs to see if I can find it. This was a very informative post Daisy and I have to agree Belly Buttons are funny.
You're furrmommy's mommy may have cut your cord. My momma had to help me when I had my second litter and she cut two of my kittens cords and I took care of the other two. All their bellybuttons look the same in the end though!
I don't think having a snap instead of a button is an option. Sorry.
You asked if any cats had an outie? Sunny did. When he was a little boycat his belly button poked out a lot. Especially after he'd eat. And you know Sunny, he eats a lot, even back then. He had an umbilical hernia. When he had his hoo ha ectomy the vet fixed his umbilical hernia at the same time, and he was never an outie again :-)
Daisy, you're demonstrating a lot of navel intelligence!
Daisy, you're not only a smart cat but a funny cat.
Veronica
P.S. Dear Daisy I think you're a cool cat.
Signed, Daisy the Pug (see my picture at http://www.frontiernet.net/~pearlspuglove">
We remember when you had your surgery. we will look for our belly buttons today....
Happy day to you and Pix!
I haven't thought much about my belly button much but after reading your post it makes me think about mine a little. How do you think of these things to write about? You always make me smile. Oh, check out Opus & Roscoe's post they have a story written and are looking for parts to be filled, there is a part in there I think you would be good in. It calls for a little cat, right up your alley huh? Check it out.

-Dr Tweety
Oh Daisy, that is a great T13!! Belly buttons, we never even thought about them until now. I can't find mine, too much fur! Tigger has less fur but he don't like Mom searching for his!! She'll have to catch him and have Dad help her. (hehehehe) That hurty was very intense, but we saw your belly button!
Your FL furiends,
None of the kitties I have now like to have their belly button rubbed. I miss my Butterbean. ~sniff~
Daisy, you are one cool cat!!! Meow.
What an interesting Thursday Thirteen! Curious I'm not even sure if I've ever seen my belly button. I do like your idea of having a belly snap instead. That would make a very cool fashion statement.
Daisy.. you should do stand up comedy...you are funnier than seinfeld!
The Feline Americans and I are all OUTIES ... It's interesting that you're an INNIE.
DMM
Intewesting things about your bewwy button! I've never weawwy wooked at mine because there's too much fur awound there. Maybe I shall twy and wook for it now!
