Sunday Comics with Daisy!

Now that I have rounded up my fleas, I am ready to start my Flea Circus!

You can teach a flea tricks, but you cannot teach him rhythm. And also, Snail is very judgmental.

66 Notes for Daisy:

Lux said...

You look so very exasperated, Daisy ... and no wonder!

Memories of Eric and Flynn said...

Those fleas are not very good Daisy. You are will have to be very firm when you train them. Watch out! There's one on your paw and it may bite you.

Nomi said...

I dont fink snail is being furry helpful. How abouts playing some musik and then the fleas might get some rithim.

Motor Home Cats said...

We really think you should try for some new pets. We are afraid the fleas will bite you. Maybe Snail is a little bit judgmental, but he is your friend.

Well, as long as they don't jump on you~!
Any way could be good tricks!
Very good Daisy~!

Goldie, Shade and Banshee said...

Fleas are very skiddish. Not very cooperative.

Better luck next time!

Yes, but snail is very cute! :)

Watch out Daisy, there's a flea on your PAW!!!

Henson Ray said...

Great comic strip. Very well done. Someone must know a little Photoshop.

TabbyNormal said...

Dear Daisy,
When you have a pet that seems difficult to train, often it means that you have to search out what that pet's natural abilities are and encourage them. If they won't listen, try squirting them with a water bottle!

Zippy, Sadie, Speedy and M'Gee said...

Daisy, have yoo tried da clicker on da fleas? Camie's kitties is right, dem fleas might get unruly and try to bite you. We like snail...even if he's a little judgemental and messes up yoor experiments.

Babs (Beetle) said...

Oh Daisy, yes, use the clicker on the fleas!

Purrs, Sukie X

Parker said...

Maybe they'd like a different kind of beat?
Motown? Salsa?

Empress Bee (of the high sea) said...

maybe you could teach them to juggle? or i'll bet they could walk the high wire!

Daisy, we think you should give up on your flea circus and start a cat & dog circus instead.

Mommy & Daddy went to one once and they said the cats and dogs were wonderful performers.

Mickey's Musings said...

I think you need a lot of patience to train fleas!I don't know if they are trustworthy either .Maybe Snail scares them. Those fleas might bite him, heehee

The WriggleButts said...

Well I think you're a pretty good trainer, Daisy! They're just a bit rythmically challenged..

You have a nice set-up there, Daisy.
Maybe you could try to teach ladybugs!
They would be very colorful.

The Taylor CatSSSSS said...

Umm...Daisy??? We don't think the Fleas would make it on "So You Think You Can Dance"! Also, we are afraid that they might bite the paw that feeds them. LOOK DOWN!!! There is a flea on your paw!!!

Mr. Snail does seem a bit judgemental....but he is still cute!

Unknown said...

I agree with Zippy, Sadie and Speedy -- swipe that clicker and watch those fleas jump into action! Of course, they're not quite as brilliant as our beautiful Daisy, so it may take years darewesay before you see any results...

Your pals,

Petey and Mica

P.S. Living in NYC, we've never seen a single flea! Can you believe it? Apparently, they don't care for city life.

I almost snorted a cup of coffee outta my nose from laughing so loud...LOL!

To be purrfectly fair to the fleas, we're not sure we could Conga with anything but our own rhythm, Daisy!

But we think the only good flea is a deaded flea, so what do we know?!

Sarge Charlie said...

those fleas are not very good at Conga. Maybe you need better pets. Mr Whiskers has Nancy, they enjoy each other.

JD at I Do Things said...

I think Snail should have led the conga line to see how hard it was. Maybe then he wouldn't have been so judgmental!

Good Sunday morning Daisy! I don't know about those fleas, they make me nervous! They think you taste nom nom and they might jump into your furs.
Maybe since you are learning tricks you could be a one cat circus performing your amazing "feats of kittyness." :)
Have a super sunny Sunday with Pixie and Mommie!
Love and Purrs,
Lorianna

Milton said...

Daisy,
Maybe George Lizzard would be a better assistant. I mean if the fleas don't do what they are told he could eat them.

Quasi said...

At least the fleas are not doing the conga line on you! Maybe Snail has a new career ahead as a one-snail Greek chorus?

Dma said...

If u can somehow teach fleas rhythm, I do believe u will have yourself a moneymaker.

Chrissie said...

I wonder if that Snaizard fella would be helpful in your flea-training attempt? If your mom uses that anti-flea stuff they put between your shoulders and on your neck, that may be affecting your fleas, too!

Icon Baxter Bentley said...

oh ha ha!! I like that they have poor rhythm! It is funny to think thats why they just JUMP haphazardly onto our furs.

Training for the circus looks hard..

BonzoGal said...

Daisy, maybe you should show the fleas your video of your circus tricks! They probably won't be able to achieve your level of skill and grace, but at least they'll get the idea...

The Devil Dog said...

Rhythm is a hard thing to teach, Daisy. Good luck.

Maybe your fleas need dance lessons Daisy. Ballet lessons would be fun!
The cats and I love reading about your adventures on Sunday mornings and I hope the fleas do better next week!

I do not think fleas are very smart. It is probably very difficult to teach them anything. You are very smart to get them to even try Daisy!

Too bad the fleas are not working out. Maybe you could teach them some of your tricks Daisy.

Good effort with training those fleas Daisy and Snail. I don't think we would have had the patience to do it.

Hmm, the fleas need new tricks.. Maybe you can bribe them with treats!

Bogdan, the editor said...

Dear Daisy: Good luck with your fleas. It seems very different to run a flea circus.

We used a photo of you (linked, of course) in our post today. If you do not like it, we will take it off. We don't know if you would be OK with it.

You need to make them pretty little costumes and head to Vegas. I know they would be a big success on a Carnival cruise boat. Just think big, Daisy.

Maybe you should try ticks instead. I heard they are very good followers. Yeah! If you put your paw paw near it, it will follow your paw paw. They're very good at following hand signals!
