We consulted Mommy and she said the Ides of March was a very bad day for Julius Caesar. So we thinks the eyes of March might be nicer, but we are not sure why we should beware of them. We thinks Daisy & Harley have purrty eyes. ~AFSS
Oh that one was really good. Mom had to laugh out loud. Well done. We don't understand it either but March is half gone, so maybe we don't have to worry about it. Great pictures of you two. Have a great week.
EEEK...Mom forgot that today was the Eyes of March - thanks for the reminder. You never know when those Romans will show up! We kind of like YOUR eyes though!!
The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martias) is the name of March 15 in the Roman calendar. The term ides was used for the 15th day of the months of March, May, July, and October, and the 13th day of the other months. According to Plutarch, Caesar was warned by a seer to be on his guard against a great peril on the Ides of March. On his way to the Theatre of Pompey (where he would be assassinated) Caesar saw the seer and joked "Well, the Ides of March have come," to which the seer replied "Ay, they have come, but they are not gone." This meeting is famously dramatized in William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, when Caesar is warned to "beware the Ides of March."
Our Mum had heard of the Ides of March but didn't know what they were. We think both you and Harley are very good with your answers to each other. Your make us giggle!! Luv Hannah & Lucy
You need your eyes of march if you're watching a military parade, like Mayday in the old USSR. Otherwise everything looks like it's standing still. I seen cats driving tanks and stuff there. Honest!

HEE!
I think if you say anything with authority (and big, wide eyes) that people will listen and think you know what you're talking about. Therefore:
BEWARE THE EYES OF MARCH!
Tee hee, Daisy! You and Harley are so cute, and you have beautiful eyes every month of the year. Don't think you need to worry about the Ides. :-D
Kittyhugs and purrs from the Ballicai.
Yes, good one! This is right up my alley (with the sense of humour, I mean).
Purrfection!
I think the eyes of March sounds much better than Ides anyway
Yup, Billy Shakespeare made this one up and like Alasandra commented, it was a VERY bad day for Julius Ceasar.
But I like eyes MUCH better too! Especially YOUR eyeses, Daisy and Harley.

Haha! We love your eyes! We don't want to beware of them at all!
You both have the sweetest eyes so I'll just go with the eyes of March.
Julius Caesar would be proud (or maybe not), as would Shakespeare. But they eyes are way cuter.
I don't know what ides are either! And Harley makes an excellent angel.
MOL. Now that was furry funny! :)
You guy's version is much easier to understand. I move to make the change permanent!
...and the EYES have it! ;)
Heheheheheheeh!! That is a funny one and very hard to explain!!
Your TX furiends,
I thought March 15th was The Ides of March!. thanks for the confirmation and the humor.
Harley,
Here's a hint. Google Caesar and Mark Anthony and the Ides of March and you will understand the meaning.
Love,
Theresa111
understood the fun after going through those comments, lol
Hahahaha!
We didn't know what Ides were either til one of your fans explained it to us...purrsonally, we like your eyes in any month, not just March!
Ha! Yes, I do prefer "eyes" too; although I have no idea why.
