Happy News!

Great news, everybody! I just learned that Lilly Lu, Iris, and Mu Shue are safe after the fire! Here is what I learned from the Cat Blogosphere:

Laura JUST called! Mu Shue, Lilly Lu and Iris were found hiding in the apartment by the fire folks going around checking and they’re alive!!! They were hiding and they’re scared to come out for strangers. They’re still there, and she can’t go in yet because it’s unsafe, but Animal Control is going to go in as soon as possible!!! Laura is picking up new carriers right now. The fire people said they’d be ok overnight if it had to be that long, but they’re going to try to get the in tonight if at all possible.
and:
7:45pm EST. The nice policemens got speshul permissions and went in and got them out tonight!!! By 7:45pm they were in the car wif Mom Laura!!! She says they looks good and are movin and talkin lots but not injured. YAY!!! They’s on the way to the v-e-t just for checkin, even tho it looks like they’re fine, and to get their medicines. Mom Laura said she’d try to get online later, but she doesn’t know when that’ll be.

Sunday Comics with Daisy!

I did not make ANY money from my lemonade stand. I decided I would rather have a desk job, anyway.

This job was No Fun. The moral of this comic is to learn all about your job before you start working.

PS: My thoughts are still with Lilly Lu, Mu Shue, Iris and mom Laura. Please read the post below to see how you can get free pet safety stickers from the ASPCA.

I am also very sad to report that I just learned this morning that my friend Miral went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after being recently diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. I will miss you, sweet Miral.

Thinking of our Friends

My heart was heavy when I read the news about the terrible fire that destroyed the home of Lilly Lu, Mu Shue, Iris and of their mom, Laura. We are still waiting to hear word about the fate of Lilly Lu, Mu Shue and Iris, but I am purring and purring that somehow they were able to escape to safety. Here is a link to the news story about the fire.
One way you can help keep cats and dogs safer in a fire is with pet rescue window decals that will alert rescue personnel that pets are inside your home. And you can get them free from the ASPCA. We are going to order some today.
Be sure to check in with the Cat Blogosphere for updated information. And let us all hope for a miracle.

Thursday Thirteen, Edition #17

I am dedicating this Thursday Thirteen to my good friend Lilly Lu who is very sick right now. Here are 13 wonderful things about Lilly Lu:
  1. She is a very good friend to me, and to every cat she knows.
  2. I love her dedication to the Boston Red Sox. I think she must be their #1 fan!
  3. She is a member of the Pink Ladies club, and contributes a lot to our missions.
  4. She has very good fashion sense. Lilly Lu looks good in everything she wears, and she is a good shopper, too.
  5. Pink is her favorite color!
  6. She is a loyal sister. When Mu shue was getting his radio-cat treatment, she took good care of his blog, and even turned it pink.
  7. She is sweet on Jeter Harris, and even threw him a fabulous birthday party on Catster. She wore a special dress to the party so she could climb trees with him.
  8. Lilly Lu is very beautiful! She has beautiful white furs and cute spots. She likes to do spotty Sunday posts.
  9. She says she is a plus sized model, but I think she has a very nice figure.
  10. Her Mama Laura is very very nice and teaches young beans.
  11. She loves Temptations!
  12. Lilly Lu is a very nice girl, and never ever says anything mean. Being kind to others is important.
  13. I love Lilly Lu and want her to get well very soon. You can get updates on how she is doing from her brother Mu shue's blog.

Fashion Show Friday: Baseball has cute clothes!

My good friend Lilly Lu sent me this very cute baseball outfit! So, I decided to go to a Boston Red Sox game. First I had just a tiny sip of beer. Do not worry though, it was a Lite beer. Imagine my surprise when I saw that I would be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch!
I am still learning baseball. Is this where I am supposed to stand during the game? It seems as though I have a very important position. And look at all my fans! (click to biggify this one!)
Thank you Lilly Lu! I never realized baseball was so fun!

ps: Can I be a Yankees fan AND a Red Sox fan too?
