Sunday Comics with Daisy!

Here is a comic I made with my favorite goat friends, Bob and Patrick! They like to eat paper sometimes. I think that is very funny. I hope you enjoy the comic.

The moral to this comic is that it is good to share things with your friends.

I got an award!

Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage gave me this pretty award called "The Rosehaven Cottage Rose Medallion for Excellence"! Here is what Cindy says about this award:
The "Rose Medallion" will be given by Rosehaven Cottage to blogs that we find to be of exceptional merit in design and content. The blogs given this honor will be those that we have found particular enjoyment, inspiration, and/or insight(s) in reading--blogs that have exhibited a passion for living. We hope as the "Rose Medallion" is awarded, that the recipients of this honor will be pleased to display it on their blogs.
I am very honored and proud to accept this award. Thanks ever so much Cindy and the kitties at Rosehaven Cottage.

Photo Hunters #38: Original

The Photo Hunters theme this week is original. So, I decided to get up early in the morning to make an original watercolor painting. First you must choose the very prettiest colors. Painting can be messy, so I am working on some newspapers. And because my Mommie said I had to use them. I started off using my paws to make some pretty marks.
Then I learned how to use a paintbrush.
Painting is hard work! But I had some refreshments nearby.
I am very, very proud of my new painting!
I am calling my painting "Confeetti." Because it reminds me of confetti, but it was made with my feets! My Mommie hung my artwork in a place of honor on the refrigerator. It is a Daisy Original!

Fashion Friday: Ballerina Daisy!

Here is my ballerina dress. I think this is my most beautiful outfit ever! It came with this very fancy and frilly crown to wear on my head. Pink is my favorite color. You can also wear the frilly pink crown as a necklace. I think both looks are good. Here I am dreaming of becoming a famous ballerina.
See how fancy the skirt is? It is very sparkly, and there is shiny pink trim and pink flowers. I love how the skirt puffs out all around me. I sure hope Skeezix does not notice that I do not fill out my bodice very well.
Even when you are wearing a fancy pink ballerina suit, you must still be on the lookout for intruder lizards. Because hunting is more important than dancing.
And always remember, ballerinas get treats, too!

Thursday 13, Edition #40: My sister Pixie

In honor of Pixie's birthday this week, I am going to tell you 13 things about Pixie!
  1. Even though she loves bananers, she always waits patiently by her food dish to get her morning serving of bananer pieces. She is very polite.
  2. She also loves cheeses.
  3. After her visit to the cardiologist this month, she changed medicines. She does not take Spironalactone or Diltiazem any more. Now she takes Enalapril, Plavix, Lasix and Atenolol. These medicines are for her cardiomyopathy.
  4. Pixie loves getting her ears rubbed and makes funny little meow noises when my Mommie gives her ears a massage.
  5. She has a very colorful heart! Here are some pictures from her ultrasound that prove it:
  6. Pixie likes to hiss. A lot! And when she growls, she sounds like a siren. Sometimes my Mommie calls her Piccolo-Pete. Or, just "Picky."
  7. When she goes number 2 in the litterbox, Pixie does not like to get her feets in the litter, so she perches on the very edge of the box. She is very proud of this skill. If you want to see a picture of this, click here. But I will understand if you do not want to go there.
  8. Pixie is the very first Devon Rex cat my Mommie ever got. And Pixie was such a good cat that she got me, next!
  9. She likes fresh catnip that grows in dirt. I only like the dried up kind.
  10. Pixie does not know how to tell funny jokes. And when I tell her my jokes, she does not laugh.
  11. She has almost no furs left on her undercarriage. So, sometimes she leaves dirt from her tummy on the things she sleeps on.
  12. Sometimes Pixie growls at me. But it is never my fault. Nope. Because I am the good one.
  13. I love my sister very much.

Pixie Turns Twelve!

Hi everybody! Today I am twelve years old. I am having a wonderful birthday. It started with a delicious bananer that I got to eat right off the peel. Usually I just get a few little pieces. And from my very good friends Skeezix, Mao, Rocky and Tripper, I got not one, not two, but THREE catnip bananers. I am a very lucky cat.
They also gave me this big bag of extra-strong catnip! Thanks, guys!
I was very happy, and then my Mommie petted me on the head and I meowed loudly with joy!
My Mommie gave me this Cozy Calming Mat. You can heat it up in the microwave, and then it is all warm and toasty to lay down on. I think I will enjoy that.
And Daisy got me this bag of Fit Nip. The bag says that it "Helps encourage older and inactive cats to exercise and play." So far, I do not feel like exercising.
While I was opening my presents, my sister Daisy was acting nutty with the tissue paper.
This has been a very exciting and tiring day. I am going to rest now. With my bananers.
Thank you ever so much for your birthday wishes to me. This is a happy day for me!

Movie Monday: A Shoulder To Climb On

I love to climb high. But, so far, I have not been able to climb on top of the kitchen cabinets because they are too tall for me. Even when I stand as tall as I can! When my Mommie stands near the cabinets, I think I can use her to help me jump up there! Here I am figuring out the distance from her shoulder to the cabinets...

ps: My plan failed. Because my Mommie screamed when I dug my toenails into her shoulder.

I got an award!

Wow! I got this award from Darlene at Auntie Dar's Life. She said this about me:

This is absolutely a cat lovers dream site . Her posts are always so funny and what Daisy does on a daily basis will totally crack you up.
This makes me feel very happy and proud. Thanks ever so much for this cute award!

Sunday Comics with Daisy!

Here is a comic I made about a chicken. I hope you like it!

Do not worry, I did not bite a real chicken in the head. Sometimes I have to use props like my rubber chicken toy.

Photo Hunters #37: Paper

The Photo Hunters theme this week is paper. Here is something fun you can make out of paper moneys! I had to ask for help with this, because I do not know how to fold. So my Mommie made this paper elephant for me. Hmm, I am not sure what I am supposed to do with him now...
So I will make him into a toy!
Here is another thing you (or your Mommie) can make with some green papers: a little t-shirt! Only it is too small to wear. Green is not my color, anyway.
And guess what I just got from my friends Adan and Michico, all the way from Taiwan? This very beautiful postcard. Here I am looking at Adan. Also see the cute bookmark? My Mommie reads a lot, so she will get lots of use out of this.
And finally, here is a hand-made wishing paper from Adan and Michico. I do not know how this was made, because it is very intricate and beautiful. Thanks Adan and Michico! After seeing this art made out of paper, my Mommie is a little embarrassed about her paper t-shirt. Ps: Here is a photo from Adan's blog of the beautiful paper cranes all unfolded as they are supposed to look. Each fold holds a special wish! My Mommie had to take the paper away from me so I would not ruin it.

Fashion Friday: Outfit for a Play-Day

I have showed you some of my fancy outfits, but today I am going to show you a good casual look. This is my Dinosaur T-shirt. See, it has a volcano on it, and also some funny dinosaurs. Dinosaurs remind me of lizards. Only bigger. This shirt is perfect for play-days! Here I am showing how you can still jump all around while wearing this fashion. I am playing with one of my favorite toys, the Cat Dancer. You can see I am smiling and laughing because it is so much fun.
This T-shirt is very comfortable, and it does not restrict my arm when I am playing a funny game.
I can also bend and stretch in this outfit!
I only got paid two Temptations for this modeling session because I spent most of the time playing instead of modeling. It was worth it, though!
