Daisy's Tall Tales

I am calling today "Tall Tale Tuesday." I hope you enjoy my illustrated story. I helped make the pictures! Painting is a little bit hard.

Once upon a time there was a lizard named George the Great. Only George the Great was a mean and bad lizard, so he did not live up to his name. He became mean because he had a very short tail. As we all know, lizards should have long tails, and George was ashamed of his short tail. Many other lizards called him George the Not-So-Great behind his back. So, George usually could be found alone on his rock with a scowl on his face, soaking up the sunshine. One day, George the Great saw a much smaller lizard. George was envious of this lizard because the tiny lizard had a very long, very curly tail. George had never seen a tail so fine and so long! So, George climbed over his rock towards the tiny, curly-tailed lizard to get a closer look.
And when the tiny lizard was not looking, George bit him in the tail! This made the tiny lizard's tail fall right off, for of course, a lizard's tail is designed to do so in case of emergencies. Our hero, SuperDaisy, just happened to be cruising by when this happened. SuperDaisy could not believe her eyes! So, quick as a wink, SuperDaisy flew straight down from the atmosphere...
...so she could play with the tail. After all, it would be a terrible shame to waste a perfectly good tail, especially while it's still wiggling.
Author's note: The tiny lizard eventually grew another long, curly tail. But while his tail was still growing back, the tiny lizard met a beautiful girl-lizard and got married. This made George the Great realize that the length of his tail did not really matter. It was the curliness that was important.
The End!

Sunday Comics with Daisy!

Making comics is a little bit hard, so sometimes my brain gets tired.

The moral of this comic is to never expect Snail to do a cat's job.

Photo Hunters: Unique/Funny Signs

The Photo Hunters theme this week is unique or funny signs. This is a sign at one of our local parks, and I think it is unique to only certain areas! Here is a close-up of the sign. Believe me, I will not swim in any areas with alligators.
Here is a picture of an alligator in my very own backyard! This picture was taken a few months ago by my Mommie from our backyard around dusk. The sign says "Alligators feed most actively at night and at dusk"! I am very glad the alligator did not feed on my Mommie.
And finally, I would like to prove that even though I was Born to be Wild...
I obey all of the traffic signs and rules of the road when I am out strollering.

Fashion Friday: My Bed Jacket

Here is my brand new pink quilted Bed Jacket. It is very soft and cozy! You will never believe this, but I got it from the designer pet clothing section of Target for only $2.49! Since I am wearing a pink Bed Jacket, I think I should be able to use Pixie's pink bed, right?
I found out that the pink bed can also be turned into a turtle shell. Did you think I was a shiny pink turtle? Not even for a second? Oh. Never mind.
Here I am opening wide for my modeling treats! Sometimes my Mommie just drops the treat right inside my mouth.
This is my thoughtful expression. Even though I am not really thinking about anything important, except how cute my Bed Jacket is.

What's the Frequency, Kenneth?

Thoughts on Thursday: Wearing an aluminum foil hat does not block bad thoughts. I am having plenty of them right now.

Riddle Me This

Daisy: Knock Knock.
Pixie: Who's there?
Daisy: Banana.
Pixie: Bananer? ALRIGHT!
Daisy: You are supposed to say, "Banana who?" Let's try again. Knock Knock.
Pixie: Who's there?
Daisy: Banana.
Pixie: Come on in, bananer!

Daisy: You have to play right!
Pixie: Okay, Daisy, I'll do better this time.
Daisy: Knock Knock.
Pixie: Who's there?
Daisy: Orange!
Pixie: Where's the bananer?
Daisy: You are ruining my joke.

Pixie: Okay, Orange who?
Daisy: Orange you glad I didn't say banana? Hahahahahaha!
Pixie: No. Why would I be glad about that?

Monday Mystery: What Happens Next?

For today's Monday Mystery, you must guess what happens next. Watch closely!

Hmm, here is a stack of newspapers. This looks like a good place to sit. Now that I have a good place to sit, I will begin grooming.
Let me work on my tail next... Uh oh! It looks like the newspapers are moving!
Goodbye, bad news!
What happens next? Here are your choices:

A. I got very scairt by the noise of the falling papers and ran away
B. I jumped down and got back onto the newspaper and continued grooming
C. I looked down at the big mess I made
D. I jumped onto the papers and made an even bigger mess
E. Both C and D

Do you know the correct answer? Click HERE to see if you are right!

Welcome to my Saturday Matinee

I am not doing Photo Hunters today because I could not think of anything good for the "thirteen" theme. Instead, I am bringing you a Saturday Matinee!

My new movie is called Daisy Wants Up! This movie shows my ongoing attempts to climb to the top of the kitchen cabinets. My movie is rated G for all audiences. I hope you enjoy it!

Fashion Friday: My Little Black Dress

Since I showed you some of my outtakes yesterday, I think I should show you a very beautiful and elegant dress next. Here is my "little black dress." I am demonstrating that this dress is easy to move around in. Do you like my pretend-walking pose?
I already had this cute accessory, and I saw that it matches my dress!
Here is a close-up of the sequined collar with the pink rose. I am smiling a little bit, too, because I think it looks cute.
Here is a different way to wear the accessory. I do not recommend this, because it squishes the ears. But I will try to model good, anyway.
And in case you need a facelift, this accessory pulls your face skin really tight.

When Good Outfits Go Bad

In case you think being a cat fashion model is easy, I am going to tell you a secret: my Mommie takes many, many, many bad photographs of me. Usually, after a photo shoot, we take the best few photos and then crop and edit them with Photoshop. The outtakes below are completely unedited except for being resized. I warn you, it is not pretty!

Wardrobe malfunction. I think the horsie suit is eating me all up! Play break. I got busy playing with my Cat Dancer and you cannot even see my cute Dinosaur tee-shirt.
Another wardrobe malfunction. Wearing a hood is hard when you have a small head.
Mommie! Your hand ruined my shot! And I was posing good, too. My Mommie holds up treats to help me model my best.
I got bored of modeling. But I am still looking into the camera!
Another wardrobe malfunction. The small head thing, again. Why do they make hats so big, anyway?
Oops, caught playing with the Cat Dancer again.
I walked off the set while modeling my jumper:
Even an angel cannot be a perfect model all the time!
