Tattle Tail Tuesday: Upstairs Toys

Pssst! It's me, Daisy. I am sneaking a peek in the big bedroom upstairs, because I want to show you something...
Every night, Harley digs through the toybox downstairs, and drags a toy upstairs to play with! Just this week so far, he has dragged SIX toys upstairs:
  1. Blue wand toy
  2. Pink wand toy
  3. Little brown bear
  4. Pink squeaky mouse
  5. Bottle cap
  6. Wubba toy with rattles
At the end of the week, my Mommeh brings all the toys back downstairs to the toybox, and it starts all over again!
Harley, sorry I gave away your secret toy obsession. Okay. I'm not really sorry. Lying is a little bit wrong.

Tattle Tail Tuesday: About Harley

I have something to tell you today, about Harley. He is very wild and wacky and plays rough all the time. But he is also very sensitive!
He can get skerred very easily, and when he does he gets very uncertain and runs away. A few of the things that worry him are loud noises, new things, and anything he does not understand. He usually goes away to be by himself for a couple of hours to figure stuff out.
Remember when he got skerred of the balloon?!?
The catnip bubbles also worried him a little bit.
Sorry I told, Harley. Even though I have a little head, I got a big mouth.
Do not worry, we are very understanding of Harley's sensitive side and try our very best to never make him get upset or worried.

Tattletail Tuesday: Harley Makes a Spectacle of Himself

Today I am going to show you something very shocking about Harley! Are you prepared?
See these glasses? They are the new tortoiseshell and pink glasses my Mommeh got a couple of months ago. They are clearly for GIRLS because of the pink color. But look what I saw...
Harley was wearing the glasses!!!!! Can you believe it? I had no idea he was nearsighted.
Harley, I hope you did not scratch the glasses all up!

Tattle Tail Tuesday: Stuff Harley Wrecked!

Just so you know that I am the Good One, I feel I must show you some of the bad things Harley has done lately. The very worst thing is, he ruined the laptop computer! Harley was playing with water and got some in the laptop. This made the letter "A" stop working. See, we had to use this external keyboard for a while. Because I did not want to be called "Disy." My Mommie ordered a replacement keyboard. And now, no water is allowed on the counter.
Harley, you better get away from there!
And here is the broken keyboard after the laptop got all fixed up.
Next, look at this chair. You might think that it looks fine. But you would be Wrong.
Harley, you better move away! Because I am going to show them your secret.
Look! Harley tore a big HOLE in the bottom of the chair! And he climbs inside the chair and plays in there.
Harley, please do not tear up any more furniture. Okay?
Now look at what he did to my beautiful ballerina crown! It is also ruined. This makes me very sad, because I loved my pretty headpiece.
Harley, leave that alone! (The mark on Harley's nose is from his ringworm).
Harley has also chewed up a bunch of books and magazines and he chewed the cord off a weather station. Even though Harley has Done Wrong, he did not get in trouble because he is just a kitten and we love him very much. But I did give him a very hard look.

Tattle Tail Tuesday: My Mommie and Skippy

Today I am going to tell you a true story about my Mommie, the outlaw.

This is my Mommie many, many, many, many, many, many years ago. Decades ago! Maybe even an entire century ago! I was very surprised to find this photo because I did not know cameras were invented then. This is a picture of a picture, that's why it looks No Good. I cannot explain why her hairdo was No Good.
Back then, my Mommie had a pet hamster named Percival. You could call him Percy for short. Here is a picture of the hamster. Sorry the picture is all scratched up. I did not do that. I promise.
So, after Percy went to the Rainbow Bridge, my Mommie really wanted a gerbil. Here is a picture of what a gerbil looks like:
But back then, my Mommie lived in a place called California. Gerbils are illegal there! But my Mommie and Daddie used to go to Nevada all the time to ski or go to the casinos. So, they went on a roadtrip to Nevada and bought a little gerbil there. His name was Skippy, after the TV show called "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo." The pet shop sold Skippy in a little cardboard box with round holes for air. Sort of like a Chinese food take-out container. Only no food was in there.

Here is my best imagination of what the trip home with Skippy was like. Except the car stayed on the road. And this was my Mommie's car from only about 10 years ago. If you biggify, you can see her big scream. Hahahahaha!
This is the outlaw part. My Mommie had to hide Skippy when they went through the California/Nevada agricultural checkpoint. She just stuck him under her jacket and tried to look innocent. Then, during the entire drive home, Skippy was gnawing and gnawing on the holes of his container and making them bigger! He would gnaw on one hole, and my Mommie would cover it with her finger. Then he would gnaw on another hole! He almost escaped! My Mommie had to keep saying to my Daddie "Can't you go any faster? Hurry! Hurry!" Finally, and just in time, Skippy made it to his new home and lived happily ever after. Until Skippy had to go to the Rainbow Bridge, too. It seems that many stories end this way.

I hope my Mommie does not get in trouble because I told this story. I am pretty sure that the statute of limitations ran out a few decades ago.
I do not recommend breaking the law.

Tattle Tail Tuesday: My Mommie done a bad, bad thing!

For Tattle Tail Tuesday, I am going to tell you about a bad thing my Mommie done. Remember last week when I told you about how I was trapped in a little space under the cabinets? Well, it was so hard for me to get out of there, that my Mommie thought I would never ever go there again. So, she did not seal the opening up right away. Guess what happened? I WENT BACK IN THERE THE VERY NEXT DAY! Only this time, I was stuck for over 7 hours because I was too scairt to come out. In this video taken over the course of the day, you can see me being bribed with Temptations and baby food to come out. I was finally rescued (again). But my Mommie felt like a big numskull for not sealing off the space sooner.

Here you can see the space is finally sealed off with cardboard and package sealing tape. And the missing grout is fixed up, too.
Even after getting stuck twice, I am still trying to get in there! I think from this photo you can see just how small the space is compared to me. I do not even know how I got in there! We have lived in this house almost two years and I have never gone in that spot before. But now, I am obsessed with going back in there!

Tattle Tail Tuesday: I am a dust magnet

You will not believe what happened! A strange man went inside my house to repair something. It made lots of loud noises. I could not get to my normal Safe Spot under the bed in time, so I ran behind the sofa instead. When I finally came out, I had some extra "accessories." Can you see all the dust and dirt I picked up from behind the sofa? (click to biggify) Look! There is even a dead bug stuck in my furs! You can see I am still very, very nervous and trying to sneak away in case the man is still in the house.
Here is a close-up of the dirts. You can also see that, as usual, the whiskers on my left side are full and curly and the whiskers on the right are all broken off.
I do not think my Mommie is embarrassed of her poor housekeeping because instead of running for a vacuum she ran for a camera!

Tattle Tail Tuesday: The Forbidden Room

For this Tattle Tail Tuesday, I am going to tell you a secret: my Mommie has been trying to lose the same 5 - 10 pounds for almost as long as I have been borned! I do not know why she cannot lose weight, because she has this special room just for exercises. I call it the Forbidden Room because I am Not Allowed to go in there. Except for today.

This first machine is called an exercises bicycle. It is very boring. You pedal it, but you go nowhere. I do not think my Mommie uses this machine.
I do not know the name of this machine. It says "Body Solid" on it, but so far it has not worked very well on my Mommie's body. The seat is pretty comfy though.
I tried to figure out how this machine works, but I do not understand it very well. There are a bunch of heavy metal weights. I guess you have to lift the weights up. Boring.
Now this is something that looks more fun, a big ball! But it is cut in half. This makes it much less fun. So my new saying is: "Cut a ball in half, turn a smile upside-down." Catchy, right?
This thing is called an elliptical trainer. You move your feet on the pedals and go nowhere. This seems a little bit boring, too.
And look! You can even watch television while you go nowhere. That makes it a little bit more fun, if cartoons are on. But still not as fun as going outside in a stroller.
Mommie, I do not know why you cannot lose weight. But I like you just the way you are.

Tattle Tail Tuesday: A cup of Joe?

Every afternoon my Mommie makes a cup of "coffee" in her Flavia drink machine. Here are the ingredients: Torani flavored syrup, coffee packet, Creamy Topping packet, and Choco packet. This is all topped off with a bunch of whipped cream. Oh Mommie, your dessert is ready! Did you want Sprinkles on that?
Here I am making sure the whipped cream is the proper consistency. I must admit it is very delicious. But it is not coffee.
And the most shameful part is that this is the most complicated "cooking" my Mommie does!

Tattle Tail Tuesday: My Secret Snack

My eyes sometimes get little sleepy-bugs in them. Especially my right eye, because it gets watery. Now I am going to tell you something a little bit yucky. When my Mommie picks the sleepy bugs out of my eye I always watch closely, because... I want to eat the sleepy-bugs! But she does not let me do it.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

I am going to reveal a shocking secret about my Mommie! I was climbing onto the highwire to practice my Circus stunts, when I saw something very terrible... Proof that my Mommie is a BAD housekeeper. She never dusted on top of the bed canopy. Look at all the filthy dirt that has collected up there! How can I practice my Highwire act up there now?
