Birds!

Here are some of the beautiful birds at Parrot Jungle Island. My Mommie is feeding some of the parrots! It costs 25 cents to give them some foods. I think my Mommie is lucky she got home with all of her fingers!
I think this bird might be a girl ostrich. But I am not sure. She is not very colorful.
Here is a flock of pink flamingos. I am glad they are pink. Because it is a pretty color for a bird.
I am very sad because my Grandma is going home this afternoon. I will miss her a lot. Goodbye Grandma! Come back again soon.

Photo Hunters #16: Rare

The Photo Hunters theme this week is rare. I decided to post pictures of my big sister Pixie eatin' a banana because I think it is very rare for cats to like bananas. Here she is chomping right into one! Here is a close up of Pixie. She got bananas stuck in her furs! Hahahaha!
This is how she usually eats her bananas, sliced on top of her crunchies. Every morning.
Since she was getting her picture taken, Pixie even got to munch on a WHOLE banana! She only got to eat a few bites. Pixie loves bananas when they are very ripe. But she will eat green ones, too. I hate bananas.

Fashion Show Friday: My new jewels and purse

Here are just two of the wonderful presents my Grandma got for me. I am pretty sure the necklace is made of real diamonds. I might need a bodyguard when I wear my diamond necklace, because I think pink diamonds are very rare. And here is my new purse. It is my favorite color. I am going to use my new purse to keep my allowance handy, in case I go shopping. I think a lizard might fit in there, too.

My Mommie and Grandma are going shopping at Sawgrass Mills Mall today, so maybe they will pick me up some new outfits.

Thursday Thirteen, Edition #18

Here are my thirteen favorite all-purpose excuses. You can use them when you get into trouble for doing something bad. Like breaking something.
  1. Pixie did it!
  2. You never told me I shouldn't do it.
  3. It was all broken up like that before I started to play with it.
  4. It was part of a scientific experiment. Now I understand gravity.
  5. Some Other Cat Did It (the SOCDI defense).
  6. Two wrongs don't make a right. Does one wrong make a right?
  7. I just wanted to see what would happen.
  8. Oops.
  9. It was a mistake. I am allowed to make a mistake, aren't I?
  10. Did I really do that? I thought I was having a dream.
  11. I just did it to test your love for me. You still love me, right?
  12. I had too much catnip and blacked out.
  13. If none of those work, try this one: "Sorry Mommie, I love you!"

Stroller Adventures

Grandma Visit Update: Guess what? When my Mommie, Daddie and Grandma went to Parrot Jungle, I followed them in my stroller. Boy were they surprised to see me there. Here I am checking out the alligator exhibit. I found out that strollers are very maneuverable, and they can get you into some great behind-the-scenes places at that park.

OK Mommie, I have seen enough alligators. You can come wheel me out now. Now. Now. NOW!

Ps: Do not worry, I am SAFE! But do not try this stunt at home. Unless you have a very strong stroller. And a can of Vishus Deer Repellunt.

Thinking Blogger Award!

Wow! Thank you Catzee for awarding me the Thinking Blogger Award! Here are the participation rules:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).

So, now it is my turn to nominate five blogs that make me think. This is very difficult because there are many blogs that make me think in different ways. Here are my choices:
  1. My first choice is Skeezix. I am nominating him because he was the reason I started my blog in the first place! He is a fashion icon who can always be counted on for trend-setting fashion advice. He warns us about the dangers of vishus deer, and teaches us things like how to save the earth. He also does many many nice things for other cats. And he is funny. And handsome. And muscular.
  2. My next nomination is for Jeter Harris. Whenever I read his blog, I am always laffin' and laffin'. He makes me think about having fun, and not taking life too seriously.
  3. I am also nominating Forty Paws. I always learn something new from the Forty Paws gang, whether it is all about Crane flies, or building outdoor enclosures, having the courage to change laws because of cruelty cases, or just living with 10 very special cats.
  4. I would like to nominate the Cats~Goats~Quotes blog. This blog makes me think about other animals, too. Like the plight of Mona, the elephant. Or hurricane Katrina animals. And Bob and Patrick, the cute goats.
  5. My final nomination is Karen Jo's Kitty Limericks blog. She learns all about each cat and creates a limerick that captures the essence of that cat. I like to read her limericks and think about each special cat.
Grandma Update: My Mommie, Daddie, and Gradma went to Morikami Japanese Garden. Here is a picture of my Mommie and Grandma feeding the fishies. I am kind of confused because I thought the fishes were supposed to feed us!
Those fishies sure were hungry. And very colorful, too. And you can see some big turtles! My Mommie said she could not find George.

My Tongue

Look at my tongue! I like to lick my Mommie's finger. And her face. And her arm. And her leg.

Grandma Update: My Mommie and Daddie are taking Grandma to Parrot Jungle Island in Miami today. I wonder if I can stow away and go with them. I know they allow strollers inside...

Monkeying around on Monday

Hi old monkey! What are you doing on my scratching post? Let me sniff your fingers, OK? Now let me sniff another part of you...
Monkey, get down from there! I want to play with you! NOW.
Guess what my monkey's name is. Here is a hint. He is very Curious. Let me know if you cannot figure it out, and I will give you another hint.

Grandma Report: I found out that my Grandma is very nice. I was only scairt of her for a few minutes until I got to know her. And she brought me many special presents. I will show them to you later. I might have to share them with Pixie, too.

Grandma is coming! Grandma is coming!

My Grandma, who lives in Wyoming, is getting on a plane to visit me! She is going to stay with us for a week! I am waiting and waiting for her to arrive. I am very excited. I found out that waiting is very very boring.
What? She is here?!??!?
Gotta go!
Since I will be very busy with my Grandma this week, I might not be able to do as much visiting with my friends as I usually do. I hope you understand. My Grandma is staying with us until next Sunday!

Photo Hunters #15: Steps

The Photo Hunters theme this week is steps, or as I like to call them, the Cat's Playground. I can do good stalking from the steps. It is very very fun to chase your toys down the steps. You have to be fast! Sometimes you can do a somersault from the steps.
I like to pull myself across the steps sideways. Steps are FUN!

Fashion Show Friday: Hello Kitty!

Here is one of my newest outfits: a t-shirt with the famous Hello Kitty on it! And look at the pretty rouching on the sides, along with a fancy satin bow. My shirt is pretty. See the front? It has a very fashionable notched collar.
Oh! Hello Kitty! What are you doing on my chest?
I tried to show Pixie my very cute new shirt. But she did not care. And she got mad at me. Maybe she was jealous of my shirt.
I am still purring and purring for my sister in fashion, Lilly Lu. Please stay strong Lilly Lu!

I am dedicating this Thursday Thirteen to my good friend Lilly Lu who is very sick right now. Here are 13 wonderful things about Lilly Lu:
  1. She is a very good friend to me, and to every cat she knows.
  2. I love her dedication to the Boston Red Sox. I think she must be their #1 fan!
  3. She is a member of the Pink Ladies club, and contributes a lot to our missions.
  4. She has very good fashion sense. Lilly Lu looks good in everything she wears, and she is a good shopper, too.

  6. She is a loyal sister. When Mu shue was getting his radio-cat treatment, she took good care of his blog, and even turned it pink.
  7. She is sweet on Jeter Harris, and even threw him a fabulous birthday party on Catster. She wore a special dress to the party so she could climb trees with him.
  8. Lilly Lu is very beautiful! She has beautiful white furs and cute spots. She likes to do spotty Sunday posts.
  9. She says she is a plus sized model, but I think she has a very nice figure.
  10. Her Mama Laura is very very nice and teaches young beans.
  11. She loves Temptations!
  12. Lilly Lu is a very nice girl, and never ever says anything mean. Being kind to others is important.
  13. I love Lilly Lu and want her to get well very soon. You can get updates on how she is doing from her brother Mu shue's blog.

Get well soon Lilly Lu!

Lilly Lu is very very sick. She is one of my best friends, and I am purring and purring for her to get better. Pink is her favorite color, so I made this card to cheer her up. You can get updates on her condition at Mu shue's bloggie.

To show your support for Lilly Lu, feel free to post this image on your blog if you want.

Dr. Daisy: Instrument, please!

Now that I am almost done with my Milton-Bradley Operations home study course, I have decided that it is time to get some precision medical instruments. Here is a very important piece of equipment: the stethoscope. Here is my syringe. I have found that it is hard to give yourself a shot.
Here is my blood pressure cuff and thermometer. I am almost ready to practice medicine now. Except, I think this medical kit is defective. Because it did not include a SCALPEL!
I am going to practice on Pixie for a while. Maybe I can cure her heart. I need to study about what you are supposed to do with your instruments after you are done for the day. I'm not sure it is right to leave them on top of the patient.

An Ode to Toes

See my toes? They are multi-colored, just like my coat! It is very important to clean between your toes. Because you would not want to get toe-jam.
Here is a close up of my back foot. And look! One of my paw pads looks like a raisin!
Here is a poem I made about toes:

My Toes
Look at my multi-colored toes
They help me go fast
Here I goes!

My toes are sticky to give me traction
So I can run fast to
Wherever there is action!

I hope Skeezix likes my pink paw pad
It's my favorite toe
And I would be glad!

Sleepy Sunday

I love to sleep in my stroller, especially right after I have been out strollering. My stroller is perfect for napping because it has my soft pink sleeping bag, and my catnip heart. I like to dream about Skeezix. A long day of strollering can make a girl sleepy!
Pixie sometimes likes to sleep on top of the sofa. I think she might be dreaming about Icon!
After napping, it is good to do some grooming!
That black fuzzy thing is a pillow. In case you were wondering.

For our friends Bear and Joaquin

I read that Bear went to the Rainbow Bridge at 12:15 am today, in her Mommie ML's arms. Our friend Joaquin went to the Bridge on Thursday.

Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice.
But for those who love, Time is not.
